Field Rule Update: You Slide, You Leave
We love seeing students on the football field, but safety has to come first. We are still seeing slide tackles, which are simply too dangerous for our school environment. To keep the game fun and safe for everyone, we are implementing a new, non-negotiable rule: You slide, you leave.
How it works:
The Action: If a teacher or supervisor sees what they believe is a slide tackle, your play is over for the day and you can't play the next day either.
The Exit: Recess Red Card! There will be no arguments and no discussion. If you are asked to leave, you must step off the field immediately (arguing could make the consequence bigger).
This isn't about getting you in trouble; it's about keeping the game moving and everyone’s ankles safe.
Let’s keep the game fun and the players on their feet!
Attn: All Creative Students!
Our school is proud to be connected with an organization called ELMLE (European League for Middle Level Education). ELMLE is inviting student designers to take part in a logo design challenge for their upcoming 2027 teacher conference, which will be held in Milan in January 2027.
If you love design or enjoy being creative, this is your chance to shine! The theme of the conference is “Strut Your Stuff: Fashioning Inspired Minds” - inspired by the bold energy of Milan, the fashion capital of the world. You can find all the guidelines below.
The winning designer will receive a €50 Amazon gift card and a free pre-conference registration for a teacher of their choice from our school!
Please look at the logo guidelines here: [ELMLE 2027 Logo Contest Milan]
The deadline to submit your design is May 11, 2026. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

FINDING YOUR GRADES
Some students had mentioned they were having trouble seeing their grades in PowerSchool. We have checked the system and believe everything is set up correctly there. To help students, the PowerSchool Team created THIS SLIDESHOW.
ALL Middle School students can use the cafe.
Things to remember:
The cafe is ONLY AVAILABLE TO MS DURING LUNCH
MS students should NOT be there during breaks
This is a quiet area - people 5m away should NOT understand your conversation
Drop in a "Just Because" for someone who has made a difference for you :)
Visit the Wellness Survey page.
Building a positive school culture is a team effort that relies on all of us looking out for one another. Sometimes, the fear of being labeled a "snitch" can keep us silent, but it’s important to realize that this label is often just a tool used to help people avoid taking responsibility for their poor choices. It shifts the focus away from the behavior itself and onto the person who is simply trying to help.
Choosing to hold each other accountable isn’t about "getting someone in trouble"; it’s about protecting the community we all share and ensuring our school remains a place where everyone feels respected and safe.
If a situation involves safety, bullying, property damage, or makes our environment feel unfair, speaking up or informing an adult isn’t "snitching" - it’s leadership.
